World Cup Soccer

I woke up at 4 this morning to watch the soccer, and yet now its penalty shootouts and I'm writing this, paying scant attention to the tv, does anyone else here not care who wins anymore?
The only thing I'm worried about is, what happen with Zidane? About 10 minutes left of his career, and he does something completely out of character. Why did he headbut the guy?
Well, google failed me, as did wikipedia - no-one knows why, apparently. But I must ask. Does it really matter who won some cup, when there's this, obviously more important matter between two people.
Anyone care about ths as much as I do? Anyone actually have an idea why he did it?
