A friend of mine who has recently started getting into punk music.. well Good Charlotte and Fall Out Boy. She asked me what she needed to do to do to become a punk.

I just stared at her. I could not believe she was asking me how to be something that in essence requires no rules. You be who and what you want. I told her this. She looked at me blankly and then said 'yeah but what do I wear? what else should I listen to

Maiden Voyage

October 4th 2007 12:54
Iron Maiden are set to hit Australian shores for the first time in 15 years! They will land here for only the fourth time in the bands 36 year history in early february, but dont expect getting a ticket will be all that easy as their show at the acer arena sold out in 25 minutes! Frontman Bruce Dickenson has announced only a matter of weeks ago that this will be "part two" of the "early days" tour and with plans to play a range of songs from the albums number of the beast, somewhere in time, and powerslave. Dickenson also stated not to expect any new songs, as the bands passion lies with their own classics such as wasted years, run to the hills and two minutes 'til midnight.

Tickets are still available for shows at the Burswood Dome in Perth (4th Feb, 2008) and the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (12th Feb, 2008

Parkway Drive take the High Road

October 4th 2007 12:44
Parkway Drive's infamous killing with a smile earnt them a record deal with Epitaph records in California late last year, with the album hitting American shelves in November. This breakthrough for the metalcore five-some from sunny Byron Bay comes as no surprise, having formed in 2003 and making a huge splash nationwide with their 2004 release dont close your eyes. In many respects the boys from P.D are alot like the rest of us who have all grown up with an amazing respect for the Punk Rock label and for the bands with which the label is already renowned for, such as Bad Religion, NOFX, Social Distortion, converge, millencolin etc.

Parkway drive have secured their spot as the only Australian band on the American leg of the Vans Warped Tour. If by chance you are unable to make it to the tour, you can see parkway drive perform live at the UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney October 12/16

Snakes on a Plane

Well, I saw the movie yesterday, purely for shits and giggles. I can recommend it as a comedy, but being as you didn't get attached to the characters, it couldn't be scary

Anyway, it's worth seeing on tv, the idea of paying to see it is a tad unreasonable

Homosexuality and Vegetarianism

What odd subjects to combine.

But yeah, I just went to an ALLY (college Queer rights group) meeting, and upon talking to people, found out that I wasn't the only bisexual vegetarian who recieves more discrimination for not eating meat than for being bi/gay. There were quite a few of us

If someone ever offers you Lindemans Cawarra Chardonnay, think twice before you take it.

I know I can't expect anything brilliant, being as I paid 5 bucks for the bottle, but seriously, it is terrible

Pure Pwnage

Any nerds in the audience?? if so, check out Pure Pwnage. Lol, surprisingly enough, my spell checker tells me that pwnage is not a real word... Thanks for that, I was unaware.

It's a mockumentary about pro gamers, makes fun of World of Warcraft like crazy, and it makes fun of themselvestoo. Hehe, right now there's a rip off of Final Fantasy

I'm trying to make a habit of confusing everyone with my post titles.

Yes, lying in a grave next to both Rock and Punk is Glam Rock, taken from us at such an early age
