Positive Punk

To tell you the truth, I've not been feeling top-top as of late, I mean, my life's going good, but the state of the world is shocking
but anyhoo, I won't bore you with my grievances, the point is that as a result of this, I started doing some random searching on wikipedia, and ending up find a subgenre of punk known, oddly enough, as Positive Punk. Ten points to anyone who guessed that it was Punk with a positive attitude.
Now, Punk's tend to have a fairly cynical outlook on life, basically extending the hippie motto of 'Dont trust anyone over thirty" to anyone over the age of 21. Which, for the most part seems to be accurate, and explains why Positive Punk failed to take off.
There's a site about the movement, some of which I bothered to read, but I dunno if it's worth reading every word.
Pos Punk emerged around the Batcave nightclub in London, yet quickly was swallowed up by the Goth movement that it helped create. Does this make sense to you? the second most depressed subculture in existance (behind only the emos) emerged as a result of fans of the complete opposite mentality.
Note to self, the Goths should have their own post, maybe tomorrow, or later if I feel the need to delve into the creepy and downright depressing sounds of Goth musicians. Maybe I could take a look at early Goth, when it was still influenced by pos Punk. Bands like Alien Sex Fiend, Sex Gang Children and Specimen.
But I'm rambling again. I guess the point of this post is
