Placebo Touring Australia
July 5th 2006 11:40
To support their new album Meds, Placebo are coming to Australia for a couple of gigs supported by the Howling Bells.
The tour starts on the 15th of September in the Melbourne festival hall, then in Canberra's Royal Theatre on the 16th and the Convention Centre in Brisbane On the 20th of Sep I'll be seeing you at their Sydney show in the Hordern Pavillion - And you better all wish me happy birthday.
Ticket's go on sale on Friday the 7th (for $80), but advance sales started earlier today for ticketek members
The Howling Bells appear to be an ex pop group 'Waikiki' that changed their attitude to some degree and started wearing all black, including one guy who's wearing black cowboy clothes in a picture of them in Drum. I'm not expectign much from them, but Placebo see some good in them so who knows.
Also available on Friday the 7th are tickets for the Dresden Dolls all ages show at the Gaelic Theatre

By the way, a second Sydney show was announced a few days ago, I assume there's still tickets left, so head to ticketek if you missed out on the first one.
