Placebo Gig Review

Last Night Was the Placebo gig. Man it was good.
First thing that amazed me about the gig, was how easy it was to get to the front. I arrived an hour and a half before the doors opened, and I managed to get a spot in the second row, right in front of Molko. Some guys I knew (friend of a friend sorta thing) had lined up since 11, now that's dedicated.
When the support band, the Howling Bells turned up on stage, I saw the drummer's cowboy hat, and was a bit dubious. Was this some crazy country band?? I'd already heard their music a bit, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't Placeboic at all. Still, when they started playing, they had some simple, but effective bass and drum going, and the backup guitarist was at least cute.. The lead singer herself was good, a bit hard to tell the words apart, but really good at talking to the crowd. So yeah, that bit was better then I expected.
Then Placebo came on. I can't remember the set list, but it basically started off with all the popular Meds songs, then went back to Sleeping With Ghosts and the even earlier songs.
Soulmates Never Die was done brilliantly and Follow the Cops back home, which I'm usually not fussed by was sung well. There were alot of songs I liked that weren't played, but considering how many good songs they have, it's not surprising. Black Market Music needed a bit more of a say, but All the other albums are good anyway.
Anyone else who went to the gig, can you tell me what the first encore was?? It was a cover, and the rest of the audience (those who were still standing by that time - not many) was singing along to it. I had no clue. The second encore was awesome, though I can't for the life of me remember what song it was.
Peace
