Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Scott is on exams this week, so I am filling in for him for ht next five posts. As I'm moving houses the posts may not be quite as detailed as normal. I'm going to start with a band review of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are a post-punk band that are renown for their originality, with Nick Cave being an interesting song writer.
Nick Cave himself is interested in the arts and has written a number of plays, as well as showing an interest in movies. The music of both Nick Cave and that of the Bad Seeds has appeared in many movies and Nick Cave has explored a range of musical styles. All of this is indicative of the broad appeal and experimental style of much of the Bad Seed's work.
During his time with the Bad Seeds, Nick Cave influenced the songs greatly, and many of them were personal confessionals. His songs are normally dark and haunting, and deal with a variety of themes, from god to murder and madness. They were also influenced by his alcohol and heroin use.
Nick Cave is an Australian singer who produces original, evocative songs that will appeal to those who have had enough of the same old music.
