My top two favorite albums

It will be an argument that will rage for decades to come, what is the best album of all time? Every has their staple artists or albums that they will always say that is the best. But if course that is everyones opinion.
There is always one or two albums in your collection that you listen to religiously. The ones where you can listen to them over and over again, from start to finish and never tire from it.
I personally have two just like that. No they are the "classics" the Beatles or Pink Floyd. No, one wasn't all that much of a commercial hit, well within the pink circle I guess it was but the other did propel the band who worte to to international stardom.
The first is by a band called This Distillers. The album is called Sing Sing Death House.
Now, this album I have worn out the disk for about three times, just lucky now I guess thats its on my iPod. But it one of those few albums that make me feel something when I listen to them.
The band, which have now disbanded, was lead by Aussie born Brody Dalle. WHo has a fantastic punk rock voice. In my opinion, the best out there. She can be screaming one second and then singing a soulful melody the next. When she sings you tend to believe every word she is saying.
The songs on the album vary from life on the LA streets (City of Angels) to relationships (Young Crazed and Peeling) to historical (Seneca Falls). There are screamy 0:59 second songs and full length ones. Its just a good well rounded album with a fantastic singer, good guitar work and a pulsating beat. Love it.
My favorite song and one that I have listened to for hours on repeat is City of Angels. A song about life on the LA streets, she sings "They say, this is the city, the city of angels, but all I see are dead wings' I find that so powerful. We are all so wound up in our own lives to really notice the things around us. I wasnt going to print the whole lyrics but I am...
Its going down tonight in this town
Cause they stare and growl
They all stare and growl
I take a scar everytime I cry
Cause it ain't my style, no it ain't my style
Going down to the gravel head to the barrel
Take this life and end this struggle
Los Angeles come scam me please
Emptiness never sleeps at Cliftons 6am
With your bag lady friend and your mind descending
Stripped of the right to be a human in control
Its warmer in hell so down we go
They say
This is the city
The city of angels
All i see is dead wings (x2)
It's a ghost town rabid underworld
Dionysian night vitriolic twilight
A mirage come up it never ends
Once you get burned youre never the same
Left behind erased from time
Aint no decency in being boxed up alive
Look around aint no R.I.P signs here
We dont rest in peace
We just disappear
So here we are Los Angeles
No angels singing in the valley of unease
I watch the sun roll down the pacific
Over hookered sunset strip
They say
This is the city
The city of angels
All i see is dead wings (x2)
There's a black moon tonight
Aint shining down on the western neon lights (x2)
They say
This is the city
The city of angels
All i see is dead wings (x4)

Love that song.
The second album I love is Meteora by Linkin Park
Now this album means alot to me for many different reasons. Many people scoff at the idea that music can help you through tough times. I scoff at those scoffers! This album, ecery song means something to me. Whether I relate to it (Numb I am sure was written just for me lol) or can just feel that I was alone.
I could scream to the songs or just sit back and listen. It was like no matter what my mood was and is now I can always listen to it. No one song sticks out, they are all as good as the last.
Ok Chesters (Bennington - the bands lead singer) voice I think has alot to do with it because again you hear the truth in his voice. His pain. 'Don't Stay' was a very popular one when I split up with ex a few years ago. Again it was like the song was written for me.
These two albums are my favorite. That is my opinion. My choice. I know every one has their own albums like this. But from my personal experiences and how they have made me feel, I love both these albums, bands and musicians.

1. The Libertines - Up The Bracket : We wouldn't have the plethora of guitar bands breaking through at the minute if it wasn't for these guys. Labelled as an indie band this album is a s close as you can get to old-school punk other than turning up at a Clash gig.
2. Pulp - Different Class : Not punk, but possibly the best songwriting I've ever heard. A satirical look at life which everyone can relate to, rightly won the Mercury Prize propelled Pulp to superstardom.
