Crosby, Stills and Nash

How to describe this band? Unfortunately, the first word that springs to mind is 'Arrogant', because in some random documentary I saw about the band, the lead signer seemed pretty impressed with himself. However, i'd been on a long car drive and was in some chaddy motel, so maybe I was just a tad grumpy, I dunno.
regardless, the band is undoubtably highly talented and, whilst wikipedia refers to them as folk rock/rock, that isn't to say that they are the trashy folk music that you hear on the radio, they were very popular in the 60's Woodstock scene, which has to count for something.
What else do I know about the band?? they chose their name to contrast with 'airy' bands like 'the Byrds, (of which Crosby used to be a member)
Well, like most the music I talk about, these guys are political activists, in this case greatly influenced by the political folk music of Bob Dylan.
Go here to check out their music, or here for their website.
Peace
