I didn't get a chance to go to it. And by that I mean I didn't have money for a ticket. Anyone here go? What was it like?
Oh, and ya know the whole flag banning fiasco?? That was created entirely by the media and politicians... The fuckers changed what the BDO people said, from "we would appreciate it if people didn't bring flags" to "we will not allow people to bring flags"
It's perfectly understandable to not want people to bring it - regardless of what the flag stands for in some peoples mnds, it has in recent years becoming a symbol of the intolerance of a minority of the population. At Big Day Out 06, people were ordered to kiss the flag, and anyone who refused was bashed.
If you were organsiing a gig, would you want to prevent that from happening??
